Hibiscus Bärbucha Kombucha

 Next in line is our Hibiscus Bärbucha Kombucha. Gorgeous color, great taste & extra health benefits. Can we ask for more?

 Hibiscus flowers have been used as medicine for a long long time, as they've been used both in Ayurveda & in Chinese medicine. They also hold a significant place in countries such as Egypt & Iran. Traditionally the flowers have been & still are enjoyed as a tea.

 And this  Hibiscus tea "contains vitamins C and A, zinc and several minerals. It also contains 15 to 30 percent organic acids, including citric acid, malic acid and tartaric acid. It also contains polysaccharides and flavonoids." (1*)

The base for our Hibiscus Bärbucha Kombucha is our Classic Bärbucha Kombucha,

 but in this case the Hibiscus flowers are first steeped & then the tea is fermented with our mixture of green & black teas. This results in new Scobies that have beautiful color, just like the one below:

 Since, in our Kombucha we only use ingredients that are traditionally consumed as tea (like Guayusa, Lapacho, Chaga or Ginger & Hibiscus in our Classic line), Hibiscus is one of those ingredients that gives this particular Kombucha a beautiful color.
