Unlike the posts from previous years, I will only describe specials made with new teas, skipping those specials that are re-runs. Those are always welcome, as they are eagerly awaited by our steady customers (us included).

The way our specials run is quite simple. We feature three different teas (in the form of Kombucha) which are usually available throughout the whole month. That gives enough time for our customers to get themselves familiar with a new tea, and to still have time to enjoy it for a few weeks. The only exception is when we feature a tea which is in limited supply. In that case, it's while supply lasts.

One of those teas in limited supply was a 2021 Milan Hong Cha (Honey Orchid), an incredibly tasty Chinese red tea, produced fro the leaves of Milan Xiang Dancong (from Guandong's Phoenix mountains).

This one was a surprise for us. We knew it would be good, but we did not know how good

We would place this Kombucha in the top two or three best Kombuchas in the last 10 years.

It has an incredible lychee flavor, which is natural, stemming from the minerals and the way this tea was processed.

The above pic just represents the natural flavor of this Kombucha. And it just happened that we made this one just in time when lychees were available.

Beside the lychee flavor, this Kombucha was very smooth and refreshing. And very noble.

The only regret was the limited amount of this tea.

February brought us a new black tea which we wanted to check out, as it was a tea that came from Mozambique. Actually from the only organic-certified tea plantation in this African country.

Featured on the left, Malty Black, is a very nice black tea with malty and fruity notes. This one should be available through most of February.

to be continued...
