Magnolia Oolong Bärbucha Kombucha

This Kombucha out of Magnolia Oolong was one of the first Oolong Kombucha that we have made around 4 years ago. It was delicious & popular back then & nothing really has changed.
The tea for this Kombucha is called Magnolia Blossom Oolong & it comes from Guadong Province, in China. The tea is also known as Orchid Oolong or in Chinese Yu Lan.
It is a scented Oolong & in this particular case as you can guess, Magnolia Flowers are used to give it an extra flavor.

The Magnolia Oolong Kombucha is one of our Specials. That means that we have it right now, but once the tea is gone, so is the Kombucha. But do not worry, that will take some time. Especially that our regular line up is comprised of 19 Kombucha varieties.
As far as specials, we currently offer 3 varieties, with other two being Guayusa & Java O.P.
The tea itself is of pretty good quality.
The tea makes a great tasting "broth" with different floral notes & beautiful golden color.
The quality of the tea can be seen from what the leaves look like after steeping.

The production process of this Kombucha is no different than of any other of our single tea Kombucha. We start with filtered & revitalized water. We steep the tea & then we strain it. Next we add Organic unrefined sugar & our cultures.
When the fermentation period is over, we bottle Magnolia Oolong Kombucha.
Next, our Oolong Kombucha undergoes the second fermentation, in order to build up the natural carbonation.
Once it's ready it has a really nice carbonation & beautiful floral notes.
